Fear of Them confronts the viewer with the individual and collective vulnerability, as well as the real limitations, experienced by various communities across the Global South, which are currently under attack by organized political elites and forces seeking to impose a new world order founded on fear, force, and authoritarianism.
The gallery is open from 11am-6pm on the day of the performance, followed by a 6-7pm closure and prompt 7pm start for the performance. It will last approximately 30 minutes. Guests are requested to arrive on time and stay for the entire duration. This performance may not be suitable for younger audiences.
Fear of Them is the last of three new performances commissioned as part of the exhibition Dark Age, on view at The 8th Floor through January 30, curated by Anjuli Nanda Diamond and George Bolster. Learn more the exhibition and the artist here.
All of our programs are free and open to the public, with RSVPs encouraged. Info on accessing our space can be found here. Email us with any questions.
