After the opening of Skyline Adrift at Architecture Omi on September 16th, Havana-based architects Yilena Feitó and Yoandy Rizo discussed their installations, processes and experiences in the United States alongside a presentation of sketches documenting their processes in New York City at The 8th Floor.

Granted a six-week residency at the Vermont Studio Center to design and execute their installations for Skyline Adrift, this is  Feitó and Rizo's first time off the island. Selected by a jury that included Ricardo Porro, famed veteran architect of Cuba's National Art Schools, Feitó and Rizo developed their projects contemplating themes relating to their experiences in Cuba and the US, including politics, locale, transience and intransigence.
