Angel Delgado and Jorge Wellesley, two of the artists featured in the exhibition Mobility and Its Discontents, will be in conversation about their experiences working in Cuba, examining issues around freedom of expression and conditions produced by political and social hierarchies of inequity. Delgado’s Inside/Outside series depicts views of sites of detainment and correction in contrast with the human figure. Wellesley’s text-based paintings are based on his proposals for billboards that comment on the constraints of life in Cuba.
