Mano de hierro (Iron Hand) reflects on the current political climate in the United States, where power in its most raw and despotic form threatens a new reconfiguration of the world order through coercion and war, openly violating international human rights and global sovereignty. This performance denounces U.S. imperialism and the global mandate of irresponsibility toward human life under the current administration of Donald Trump.

The gallery is open from 11am-6pm on the day of the performance, with a 6-7pm closure and prompt 7pm start for the performance. It will last approximately one hour. Guests are requested to arrive on time and stay for the entire duration. This performance may not be suitable for younger audiences.

Mano de hierro (Iron Hand) is the second of three new performances commissioned as part of the exhibition Dark Age, on view at The 8th Floor through January 30, curated by Anjuli Nanda Diamond and George Bolster.
